SYNOPSIS:

The SODs (Sons of Dionysus) are a despicably loveable, profanely sacred, innocently depraved group of singing drinkers, immortal college boys and fallible gods. Jeremy is a smart, literate, inexperienced Freshman who gets sucked into their whirlpool through his savvier roommate Arthur. The next four years will take them on an odyssey of debauched tours, misbegotten quests and soul-wringing discoveries, up to the very Gate of Hell (the one in Kansas). Travel with them and Melvin, the one-armed tap-dancing one-quarter Native American; Charles, who used to be Charlene; Delilah, the self-proclaimed Wendy for these Lost Boys; Moses of the big beard and mountain top proclamations; Cassius of the flaming afro; and Benjamin, human magnet of injury, as they boldly prove that too much is not enough. Part Aeneid, part Animal House, with a touch of A Separate Peace, this nostalgia ride is not for the faint of heart.

As part of the serialization of the first 12 Chapters, a Sons of Dionysus music video was made by Punch Brothers Documentarian Mark Meatto. To avoid confusion-- this is a song The Randy Bandits sang frequently in 2009-10. Russ Kaplan and Chris Murphy of The Randy Bandits join Jim and other friends to create a fictional representation of what the "Sons of Dionysus" would sound like... if they were real.
